- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Senior Commercial Officer to join them on a 5 month contract. This position will be based in Andover or Wyton or Whittington or Glasgow/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
The roles will work across pre-sourcing, and sourcing. You will help design the new solutions in the sourcing environment, focusing on building and leading a Competitive Flexible Procurement that provides a Value for Money solution in a complex and diverse area.
As well as the client's programme, there will be opportunities to develop solutions in as various client-managed PFIs come to a close, including undertaking Market Analysis and Engagement, and supporting the development of the Commercial Strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in high-value complex procurements and looking to develop new skills and knowledge in the pre-sourcing and sourcing arenas.
Minimum Requirement:
- Support G7 in competition.
- Procurement role – full lifecycle.
- Management and delivery of regulated competitions – high value.
- PCR 2015.
- FAMILIAR PA2023 & PA2024.
- Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels.
- Evaluation and some moderation (mainly note taking).
- Cat A level.
- Public Sector – Essential.
- Major government department type.
- Familiarity with Defence estate would be desirable but not essential.
- If someone is working to or has CIPS but not essential.
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC clearance and meet all essential criteria.
