• Provide a security build 'clerk of works' function to the  OBEYA site wide  build, to quality assure builders work meets accreditation standards and provide early oversight to ensure any problems or possible non-compliances are caught and addressed early.
  
• Develop the Programme’s relationship with the Obeya Security Guard Force, including regular reviews, interaction and feeding into process improvements
  
• Provide security advice and inputs into the Enabling and Transition Work strand as required
  
• Support BaU teams by bridging resource/capability gaps (in agreement with Security W/S Lead and Programme SLT) covering BaU tasks such as;
  
• Act a lead SPOC for all Obeya security incidents reported to be investigated
  
• Provide advice to Obeya Pass Team and 3rd party suppliers, including PIN resets; audits and policy etc.
  
• Provide inputs and review for security related Comms
  
• Lead to arrange and oversee decant and formal decommissioning of legacy floors/buildings (inc POLSA and partner liaison etc.)
  
• Act as security lead for high profile visitors, as directed by Programme SLT, including planning and engagement with staff officers, comms, visit teams, protection offices
  
• Assist with the creation of security policy and procedures in relation to physical security; personnel security and IT security.
  

• Have experience of the policing Network or law enforcement
  
• Have extensive knowledge of physical & ESS security standards
  
• Have a working knowledge of the accreditation standards and process
  
• Have experience of working with UKNACE
  
• Have understanding of the principles and methodologies for security planning and ability to apply these within a public sector organisation.
  
• Have understanding of the management information requirements of a multi-functional business and how processes, systems and technology can be applied to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  
• Be a good communicator and possess excellent presentational skills
  
• Understanding of project management and governance principles and techniques and ability to apply them to support service projects
  
• Have the ability to produce complex written reports
  
• Experience in discharging “clerk of works” responsibilities assuring “right first time” build completion and accreditation.
  
• Able to review and comment on technical designs (covering build, process and technology) to ensure complies with security accreditation needs.
  

• Contribute to the development and review of policy, technical standards, and guidance related to building control, building regulations and Dutyholder compliance under the new regulatory regime.
  
• Provide expert advice to inform regulatory frameworks and operational guidance, particularly where building control processes interact with Gateway decisions, golden thread information, or occupation stage duties.
  
• Provide specialist building control expertise to MDTs convened for Gateway 2 applications, Safety Case Report assessments, and investigations and enforcement cases.
  
• Assist technical policy teams internally and externally as required at relevant meetings.
  

• Leading and/or supporting investigation of work-related ill-health concerns and reportable diseases to identify the cause and where necessary, take appropriate enforcement action to control the risks.
  
• Inspecting a variety of workplaces, either on your own, or supporting another inspector, by providing in depth technical expertise to make sure health risks are managed safely, driving improvements and taking enforcement action where required to secure compliance with the law.
  
• Advising other client colleagues about Occupational Health and how conditions compare with minimum legal requirements and good practice, thereby developing their skills in managing occupational health risks.
  
• Providing specialist support to guide enforcement decisions and specialist opinion in reports.
  
• Specifically utilising the skills, knowledge and experience in Occupational Health commensurate with the Job Description.
  
• Contributing to the development of technical policy and guidance in relevant priority areas by reviewing health information, identifying gaps in technical standard and working with others, sharing information and advice with policy colleagues to influence strategic stakeholders and campaigns.
  
• Contributing as a member of the occupational health team to promote occupational health at relevant UK forums, as well as internally, for example, coaching trainee H&S inspectors. This may also include international engagement, as required.
  
• You will be expected to appear as specialist / expert witness at tribunals, inquests and legal proceedings.
