- The Client:
Our government department client is looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join them on a 7 month contract. This position will be hybrid.
Job Summary:
- Develop payment methodology options with key stakeholders to support government contracts using sound financial controls.
- Bid evaluation to support procurement of critical DWP services.
- Providing financial analysis to support provider financial negotiations.
- Operate an open book contract management approach to support our senior managers and our external contractors to drive up performance and improve value for money.
- Manage financial risk in accordance with the Outsourcing Playbook, ensuring early warning and effective mitigation strategies are in place to support the business.
- Analyse and interpret supplier financial accounts as part of procurement activity and ongoing contract management to ensure suppliers have sufficient financial standing to safely deliver public services, including understanding application of IFRS (eg IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts, IFRS 16 Leases).
