- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join them on a 6 month contract. This position will be in Remote + occasional travel to Manchester.
Job Summary:
Our client is undertaking a project to strengthen how they support colleagues requiring workplace adjustments. Their goal is to create a clear, fair, and inclusive system that ensures disabled colleagues receive the right support quickly and effectively, in line with the client’s principles. We are looking for an experienced Health & Wellbeing Practitioner with a strong background in workplace adjustments and inclusion. You will play a key role in reviewing existing processes, updating policies, and engaging stakeholders to design an approach that supports both employees and managers while ensuring compliance with equality legislation.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience as a Health & Wellbeing Practitioner or similar role, with strong expertise in workplace adjustments and disability inclusion.
- Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and employer obligations regarding reasonable adjustments.
- Experience drafting or updating policies and processes to improve organisational practice.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience facilitating workshops or interviews.
- Ability to analyse issues and produce actionable, evidence-based recommendations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in the healthcare or a large public-sector organisation.
- Familiarity with case management systems or models for centralised support services.
- Understanding of budget considerations for reasonable adjustments.
- Experience in delivering change projects within health, wellbeing, or inclusion settings.
