- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Principal Category Manager to join them on an 18 month contract. This position will be based in Reading/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
Minimum Requirement:
- Lead commercial strategy team.
- Task management (around 6 people).
- Experience producing sourcing strategy.
- Leading external framework commercial strategy.
- Experience working with external frameworks.
- Procurement delivery.
- A focus on Pre-contract knowledge/experience.
- Strategic thinker.
- Strong stakeholder management at all levels – internal and external, written and verbal.
- Procurement act.
- Procurement regs.
- Public sector experience.
- Delivering infrastructure/construction strategies.
- NEC 3 or 4, preference to 4.
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC learance and meet all essential criteria.
