- The Client:
A Government Client is looking for a Finance Administrator to join them on a 3 month contract.
Job Summary:
The Finance Administrator is primarily responsible of preparing supporting documents for the submission of VAT returns and other administrative tasks within the Finance Section.
The candidate must be immediately available.
Role Description:
- Downloading VAT invoices.
- Downloading corresponding Payment proposals and bank statement.
- Compile the VAT invoices with the corresponding payment proposal and the bank statement for submission.
General
- Support the finance team in the achievement of the wider objectives and goals.
- Ensure compliance with the Secretariat’s policies and procedures.
- Deal professionally and in a timely manner, with queries and requests from internal and external customers.
- Achieve deadlines while ensuring all tasks are completed accurately.
- File and archive soft and hard copies of financial records efficiently and promptly.
- Support the financial accounting team during audits as necessary.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Person Specification Education
- 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- Bookkeeping or accountancy qualification.
Experience and Skills:
- At least 1 year experience of working in a similar finance environment.
- Good IT skills, experienced user of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience of computerised accounting and electronic banking.
- Good organization skills and attention to details.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
