- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Strategic Workforce Analyst to join them on a 6 month contract. This position will be based in Aberdeen.
Job Summary:
The Strategic Workforce Analyst will play a critical role in building the client’s workforce capability as the organisation scales to deliver clean energy deployment and high?quality jobs across the UK.
The role exists to analyse and drive delivery of the client’s strategic workforce plan, ensuring the organisation has the right people, skills, capacity and location footprint to deliver its operating model - both now and as it transitions to long?term operational autonomy.
Working at the intersection of strategy, data, and delivery, the role will provide insight?led workforce solutions that support pace, productivity, and value for money, while aligning to government expectations on regional growth and skills transition.
Essential:
- Experience in strategic workforce planning, workforce analytics, business analytics or workforce optimisation in a complex organisation.
- Strong analytical capability, including advanced Excel skills and experience translating data into insight and decisions.
- Strong data visualisation background create clear, compelling dashboards and narratives that support senior decision?making and workforce strategy.
- Experience developing workforce models, scenarios, or capacity plans.
- Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills and confidence working with senior leaders and crossfunctional teams.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting organisations through setup, scale-up, or major transformation.
- Understanding of public sector, infrastructure, energy, or large-scale delivery environments.
- Experience using Power BI and data visualisation tools to create clear, compelling dashboards.
- Familiarity with labour market analysis, skills forecasting, or location strategy.
- Need to have Strategic Workforce Planning experience, Strong analytical and data visualisation skills, experience creating workforce models.
