- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Facilities Support Manager to join them on an 11 month contract. This position will be based in Corsham/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
This role plays a significant part in the delivery of services to our customers on a day to day and strategic basis focussing on optimising the use of and managing of property including buildings and workplaces. This role will deliver and support all aspects of day to day hard & soft FM services, including contract and supplier management.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Establishment (HOE) of client's obligations. Supporting the delivery of the strategic real estate portfolio plan mandate whilst ensuring operational, project management and tactical services are provided efficiently and effectively.
- Working to ensure plans and activities across FM reflect the wider strategic priorities.
- Submit & monitor Statements of Need for any work required on site and monitor progress against activity.
- Support HoE in ensuring all Security regulations are upheld and good working relationships with the MDP and Site Security Contractor are maintained.
- Ensure and maintain the management of all Health & Safety documentation and policy for the Head of Establishment and Site partner.
Essential:
- Working H&S Knowledge and/or iOSH.
- Facility Management Experience, soft and hard FM.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Strong Stakeholder Management.
- Defence Knowledge / Assurance / Governance.
Desirable:
- NEBOSH.
- Planning Application Process Experience.
- Knowledge of JSPs (375, 440 and 850 in particular).
- Previous Defence FM experience.
- Proximity to site/s for defence reactive tasking support.
Important notes:
- Must be sole UK Nationals only for this role.
- Must be in commutable distance of site and able to attend short notice if an emergency calls for it.
- Need to be flexible regarding working around needs of the business.
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC clearance and meet all essential criteria.
