- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Digital Delivery Manager to join them on a 12 month contract. This position will be based in London/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
The Digital Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of digital projects to meet the needs of End Users who interact with the Programme team. The role ensures that digital solutions are delivered in accordance with programme objectives, security requirements, governance frameworks, and End User needs.
Working across multidisciplinary teams, the Digital Delivery Manager will coordinate resources, manage risks and dependencies, engage stakeholders, and drive delivery performance while maintaining compliance with defence, cyber security, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Management
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital projects and services.
- Work with End-Users and Stakeholders to develop and maintain delivery plans, schedules, milestones, and reporting.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
- Ensure delivery aligns with strategic objectives and operational requirements.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with military, government, commercial, and technical stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for delivery-related activities.
Programme Governance
- Ensure compliance with organisational governance frameworks.
- Prepare and present status reports, risk registers, and delivery dashboards.
Digital and Technical Delivery:
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including:
- Software developers.
- Infrastructure engineers.
- Security specialists.
- Business analysts.
- Architects.
- Test managers.
- Service managers.
Risk and Dependency Management
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks.
- Essential Skills and Experience.
- Proven experience delivering complex digital or technology programmes.
- Strong project and delivery management skills.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.
Defence Sector Knowledge
- Experience working within defence, government, national security, aerospace, or highly regulated environments.
- Understanding of defence governance and assurance processes.
- Familiarity with secure environments and classified information handling.
An active DV clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active DV clearance and meet all essential criteria.
