- The Client:
A government client is looking for a Productivity & Collaboration Specialist (M365 Specialist) to join them on a 7 month contract. This position will be based in London/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
This role is a blend of Microsoft 365 platform administration, product ownership, 3rd line support, stakeholder engagement, governance, and solution design. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving collaboration services, supporting business users, and driving adoption of Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform capabilities.
The position is ideal for a hands-on Microsoft 365 professional with strong platform administration experience across SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, and Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities
As a Microsoft 365 & Copilot Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:
Administering, configuring, and supporting the Microsoft 365 collaboration suite, including:
- SharePoint Online
- OneDrive for Business
- Microsoft Teams
- Planner
- Viva Engage
- Microsoft Stream
- Microsoft 365 Groups
- SharePoint Online
Supporting and optimising Microsoft Copilot capabilities, ensuring users gain maximum value from AI-enabled productivity tools.
Providing 3rd line technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving complex platform, configuration, and user issues.
Analysing business requirements and designing collaboration solutions aligned with business needs and governance standards.
Managing platform provisioning, configuration, permissions, and operational activities across the Microsoft 365 estate.
Developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate administration, reporting, and support processes.
Supporting governance, compliance, and best practice implementation across Microsoft 365 services.
Administering and supporting Power Platform solutions and services.
Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Monitoring service performance and identifying opportunities for continual improvement.
Producing and maintaining technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Keeping up to date with the Microsoft 365 roadmap and evaluating new features for business adoption.
Providing support, guidance, and knowledge sharing to colleagues and team members as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments within medium-to-large enterprise organisations.
- Practical experience supporting, configuring, and administering Microsoft Copilot.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Power Platform services.
- Demonstrable experience configuring, operating, and optimising Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity services.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting Microsoft Copilot adoption, governance, and optimisation initiatives.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 roadmap, emerging features, and industry best practices.
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC clearance and meet all essential criteria.
