Key tasks and deliverables
Analytical support to the Reward team to assist in the preparations for the 2018 Pay award.
Please provide any additional information specific to this role not already detailed above
We need to refresh our salary benchmarks with 2018 salary survey data - ensuring that role matches are correct and also reviewing the data in areas where we have concerns with retention and attraction, etc. Additionally, we have a pay model built in SQL, with aspects in access and Qlikview which allows us to model using a salary increase matrix (based on performance rating and position to market), which we need to refine to ensure that it is fit for purpose for this year’s pay review.
The specific tasks we have articulated before now are as follows:
1. To develop and refine the pay benchmarking conducted to inform the 2017 pay and performance awards, using the latest data set and taking lessons learned from the 2017 pay award process.
a. Output: a revised set of benchmarks for all DE&S Role Profiles signed off by the head of reward.
2. To develop and refine the pay and cost models built following implementation of the 2017 pay and performance awards, using the latest benchmarking data set produced at 1, to be used to inform proposals for the 2018 award.
a. Output: revised pay and cost models to support development of the 2018 pay and performance awards signed off by the head of reward.
