Description:
Integrated Logistic Support Manager (ILSM) responsible for Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Support Solution development and deliverables for procurement projects.
Developing and providing ILS and Support Solutions to underpin project acquisition and reduce through life costs; to recognised British or International standards and requirements, including engaging with Supportability Assurance Teams, whilst managing the timely delivery of ILS and support package elements, for the appropriate phase of the Project Life Cycle, including but not limited to:
· Preparing project ILS Strategy, Plans and Statement of Work.
· Using ILS techniques/processes to influence designs.
· Chair or attend ILS progress meetings.
· Identifying Support Solution drivers, assisting Project Managers with developing and reporting on the Support Solution.
· Developing project Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (AR&M) requirements.
· Developing project Equipment Maintenance Policies.
· Assisting with project Human Factors Integration (HFI) requirements.
· Developing project Training requirements.
· Developing project Spares Ranging and Scaling requirements.
· Developing project Supply Support solutions, including Codification, Packaging, Labelling, Initial Provisioning and further spares support.
· Developing project Technical Information requirements, including Technical Data Packs and Technical Publications.
For the following equipment’s:
· Ventilations systems, RO Plants (especially ASTUTE), V & T Boat Evaporator Distiller, Chilled Water, Refrigeration.
·o Manage OPDEFS
·o Manage S2022s
·o Identify any JICS & BRs that need amendment as a result of the findings from OPDEFs & S2022s and tasking engineering staff as appropriate.
·o Work with SCM and Engineering staff on obsolescence management to identify suitable alternatives and an appropriate supply chain.
·o Work with stakeholders (ISM, Contractor, Com, Ships Staff) to resolve OPDEFS and implement class modification to permanently resolve the issue.
·o By the provision of background support data support engineers to Identify the root cause of failures (Training, design, ships staff experience, spares) that are leading to failures and implement solutions
·o Work with stakeholders (ISM, Contractor, Com, Ships Staff) to resolve OPDEFS and implement class modification to permanently resolve the issue.
·o Review Audacious entry into service and ensure that EDH are in a position to support her.
·
·• In addition to the above for V-Boat Chilled Water Plant Replacement.
·o Liaison with SDA ISM, Commercial staff and engineering staff with reference to getting a contract placed
·
·• Start the planning process for the replacement enabling agreements contract replacements to support of Water production and Waste management equipment onboard both submarines and surface ships.
