Description:
Facilitates and chairs specific Working Groups, promoting a security awareness culture, on issues such as EUD & BYOD devices, password policy, protective parking, safe and secure disposal through awareness briefings. Managing relationships with key stakeholder groups including Project Teams and the Information Security and Assurance teams. This may take the form of guidance on the threats, risks and mitigations that may be necessary in order to reduce the residual risk levels so that they are within the risk appetite of the system/business owner. Auditing and reporting on the effectiveness of these controls in order to gain an assurance that the project is compliant with current regulations. Supporting, and authoring where required, the generation and through life management of the Risk Management Accreditation Document Sets that support the continuing accreditation of solutions delivered .
Contributes to the development of IT Security Policy and Procedures and the ongoing maintenance of all supporting documentation aligned with Security Policy Framework (SPF) Specifying requirements for IT Health Checks or Assessments to ensure identification and scheduled correction of any vulnerabilities to protect other IT systems and services. Alerting the Lead Accreditor, other Security Assurance Coordinators or CIO of unscheduled or rogue changes in Systems and Services, which may affect accreditation.

Please provide any additional information specific to this role not already detailed above
1a. perform the duties of the security assurance coordinator for the protector programme, providing security advice and assistance to the protector team and chairing the security working groups - quarterly;
1b. lead the engagement between the defence assurance and information security accreditor and ga-asi security leads to assess the protector baseline technical solution against the uk mod security requirements.
1c. provide and manage security sme advice and assistance from cesg, through appropriate enabling arrangements.
1d. manage delivery of the risk management and accreditation document set (rmads), including generation of system security design evidence to identify any residual risk.
2. deliver the protector technical electromagnetic effects environment (e3) solution to meet the customer requirement detailed:
a. identify the formal e3 authority engagement path and present a case for their engagement with protector.
b. lead the engagement between the mod e3 authority and ga-asi e3 leads to assess the protector baseline technical solution against the uk mod e3 requirements.
c. establish and chair formal spectrum working groups to develop acceptable technical solutions with ga-asi, to mitigate the e3 risks identified at main gate - quarterly.
