- Role: Infrastructure Architect
Contract Length: 2yrs
Location: Fareham (NO Working From Home)
IR35: IN SCOPE
Pay Rate to Candidate: £431.25 UMBRELLA
Minimum Requirement:
Relevant technical areas include:
Agile deployment of services;
Machine learning / AI; Information Exchange Requirements,
Management of information over denied and degraded comms;
gateways;
Architectures;
Assurance of information;
Open architectures for information;
Information standards;
Agile services.
Key elements of the role will be to:
1) Provide technical direction and support to Extra-Mural Research contracts with industry and/or academia.
2) Provide constructive review of deliverables and on-going work
3) Identify and scope emerging activities, and support subsequent delivery
4) Support engagement and delivery with key international partners. Depending on role, some international travel may be required.
5) Support or lead planning and delivery of experiments, demonstrations or other technical work
6) Engage with key stakeholders, suppliers and other partners
7) Work effectively with the wider SIEI project team to support efficient and coherent delivery
8) Provide written reports, presentations and other material in support of all of the above
- Good communicator, able to deal with stakeholders at a variety of different levels without supervision
- Experience and knowledge of work related to at least one of the areas covered by the scope of the SIEI project (see above)
- Experience of reviewing technical documentation to understand implications
- Requirements development experience in a systems of systems environment and the ability to write and develop clear technical specifications
- Experience of working with industry or academic partners
- Experience of Trial / experimental design (desirable)
- Experience of research activities (desirable)
- Practical experience of building agile information systems (desirable)
