Project Detail: GeoProduction
The Geo-Production project will develop and implement the next generation Geospatial Production Platform. This includes essential core capability for future data capture, production planning, scheduling and workflow management, enabling improved operational ways of working and delivering technology as reusable components to support geo managed services.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with a strong background in Azure Cloud Technologies and C#, to join our Engineering group. You will bring a depth of knowledge in continuous delivery and Azure technologies to build scalable, performant systems that are easy to maintain and support. Specifically, your technical knowledge will cover technologies such as C#, Azure Functions and Azure SQL. Experience around Deployment, Debugging, Testing, Scaling and Monitoring modern cloud-based systems is desired.
Providing technical leadership, is a key aspect of your role and you will look to continuously improve the engineering capability in all aspects of the engineering lifecycle through coaching and mentoring. You will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders (internal and external), Project Managers and Delivery Managers to help shape the project delivery and the team. You will be required support the Lead Engineer in leading an agile team, understand business requirements and develop the appropriate solution that meets business needs.
You will be required to:
Continuously improve the capability of engineering teams in all aspects of the engineering lifecycle through coaching, mentoring, process improvement and technical leadership
Proactively share best practices
Work with stakeholders and architects to shape, design and estimate business requirements into modern technical solutions
Collaborate with project and delivery managers to track the progress of technical delivery
About You
You will need to demonstrate your track record against the following essential criteria:
Expert knowledge and skills in software engineering & industry best practice like TDD, BDD, Continuous Delivery and automated testing
Expert knowledge in C# and Azure technologies
Demonstrable ability to coach and mentor
Excellent track record in influencing key business & technical stakeholders
Very good track record in development of technical strategies
Proven track record in implementing new engineering techniques within development teams
