- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Commercial Officer to join them on a 3 month contract. This position will be in Bristol or London/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
Essential:
- Understanding of commercial principles and practices.
- Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of public sector procurement regulations.
- Has completed the New Transforming Public Procurement (TPP) e- training or is willing to undertake it.
- Hands on experience of supporting tenders through CCS Frameworks.
- Experience of supporting end to end sourcing.
- Proficient MS Word and Excel skills.
Qualifications:
- Essential – L4 CIPS or equivalent or a minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience.
Top Skill Sets:
- Resilient / Confident.
- 2- 3 years’ experience within procurement/commercial in the public sector.
- Keen to learn.
- Strong stakeholder management at all levels.
- Experience of supporting end to end sourcing.
- Exposure to end-to-end procurements.
- CCS frameworks, call off, direct awards – highly desirable.
- Public sector procurement.
- Evidence they have WORKED in these roles before.
- Standard IT packages.
- Some S2C (Source to contract) tools.
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC clearance and meet all essential criteria.
