- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a HR Support to join them on a 3-6 month contract. This position will be hybrid, Cambridge.
Job Summary:
We are looking for experienced HR professionals to provide high-level support on a temporary basis during a period of significant operational change. This role will be key in ensuring the successful delivery of a large-scale transformation programme within a complex organisational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage HR activities related to organisational change, including restructures, TUPE, consultations and redeployment processes.
- Work closely with senior leaders to plan and implement people-related change strategies that support wider operational objectives.
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and stakeholders, ensuring best practice and legal compliance throughout all change processes.
- Support employee relations cases linked to change activity, including grievances and appeals.
- Contribute to workforce planning and resourcing discussions as services are reshaped.
- Prepare high quality documentation, reports and briefings as needed to support business cases and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal HR colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth delivery of change initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates against timelines and deliverables.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in leading or supporting large-scale operational change in a complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice in the context of change.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and at pace under pressure.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience preferred.
