- The Client:
A government department client is looking for an Oracle Fusion Cloud Planning and RAIDS Manager to join them on a 3 month contract. This position will be based in London or Bristol/Hybrid.
Job Summary:
- The programme planner will work with the central programme delivery team to develop and build workstream specific programme plan in full alignment with the overall integrated programme plan.
- The role will involve working with the workstream programme directors to establish, maintain and actively use workstream plans to manage and control workstream and overall programme delivery. This will include documenting key milestones, programme and workstream dependencies, assumptions and constraints and produce all reference documentation. The role will produce weekly progress against the plan for their respective workstreams and report to the central planning team on deviations and their impact.
- The role will work on RAIDS with respective RAIDS managers and ensure that risks and dependencies are managed from delivery schedule angle and pro-actively highlight schedule variances.
- The role will produce change impact assessment from schedule and plan perspective as part of regular change control process.
- The role will develop, maintain, and manage plan on a page as well as detailed MSP plan and ensure alignment of planning elements within JIRA and MSP plans.
- The role will ensure that all planning confirms the overall objectives, scope, high level deliverables/product (including acceptance criteria) and stage gate exit criteria for the programme and workstreams.
- The role will ensure that there is a consistent use of forecasting and estimating methodologies that ensure high degree of accuracy and enables the programme office to analyse, track and report actual delivery against time, cost, and quality metrics. This will support the continuous improvement of planning methodologies tools and support to the programme and workstream teams.
Typical Role Profile:
- Candidates for this role will come from system implementation partners of Oracle Fusion Cloud with highly significant planning and RAID management capability.
- Candidates will be senior Oracle Fusion Cloud programme planners with experience of RAID management.
- Client-side implementation supervision experience and Oracle Fusion Cloud upgrade programme experience in will not be the right experience for this role.
- This is not a pure planner role within any transformation programme. It is not a plan or RAID administration or reporting role either. The role needs active management experience of planning and RAID management.
- General programme management or PMO administration experience will not be the right experience for this role.
- Although planning and plan management is the key responsibility for this role, sound experience of RAID management is also essential.
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- A degree level qualification (essential).
- Over ten years’ experience in complex ERP enabled transformation programmes with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation programmes of over £25 million annual budget (essential).
- Highly proficient in the use of project planning software e.g., MS Project Professional plan and proficient in agile software development and implementation tools e.g., JIRA (essential).
- Ability to analyse complex programmes and projects and report information in a range of formats (essential).
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, and be able to present complex or sensitive information effectively (essential).
- Ability to produce quality written documents covering their area of responsibility for various governance forums e.g., the programme board, and the sponsor group board (essential).
- Ability to support teams in breaking down complex delivery into manageable work packages and activities (essential).
- Ability to effectively lead and support teams using a range of methodologies in planning (highly desirable).
- Knowledge and experience in applying risk management processes and in supporting others to apply risk management methodologies (highly desirable).
- Able to work to deadlines and under pressure in a rapidly changing environment (highly desirable).
- Able to manage competing and conflicting demands, balancing priorities to respond changes to service demand (highly desirable).
- Experience of managing complex stakeholder landscape (essential).
- Experience of working effectively in a complex third-party supplier landscape (highly desirable).
- Proficient in using PowerPoint, Excel, Word (essential).
- Ability to work independently (essential).
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC clearance and meet all essential criteria.
