• BPSS (DS) - Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland /DBS)
Essential:

- Microsoft Stack
The DVSA Infrastructure team has a number of projects in flight at the moment, the successful candidate will be expected to help with the delivery of these projects. Work may include one or more of the following projects: • Networks – DVSA have updated LANs in most of our major sites and have now progressed to updating the LANs at our smaller offices, including the introduction of Wi-Fi at these sites. The role will include configuration and set-up of pilot/alpha sites as well as working with selected partners to test and manage the roll-out across the wider estate. • Mobile Phones – As part of a change of carrier replacement SIMS will be rolled out across all mobile users. The roll-out will be performed by the Deployment team with the Infrastructure team providing support where required. The successful candidate maybe called upon to offer technical assistance, especially when rolling out replacement SIMS to laptop devices which will require configuration changes. • Cloud Transformation – We are currently in the Alpha phase of an ambitious project to migrate our core infrastructure to the cloud and to roll out a new Windows 10 based end user device. Depending on skill-set the successful candidate will be involved in application packaging, InTune configuration, server migrations, Windows 10 build and device roll-out.
