The Client:

 

A government department client is looking for a  Service Delivery Manager Finance to join them on a 3 month contract. This position will be based in  London/ Hybrid.

 

Job Summary:

 

The client have launched their new Cloud based Enterprise Resource Planning system, Hera. We are looking for a contractor to fill a critical role in the Service Team.

The Senior Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of the Hera prioritised product backlog. Implementing, championing and coaching the use of agile and lean delivery methods and tools. Creating and leading a co-operative environment where people from different teams, directorates and the Run Partner regularly come together to communicate, work and deliver in a collaborative manner at pace. The role includes line management responsibility.



  • Build and maintain a collaborative Delivery team and dynamic that delivers the agreed product evergreening schedule and product backlog. Organising and leading Hera Service regular Stand-Ups and other collaborative activities.

  • Leading and motivating your team and others through challenging periods of change and uncertainty.

  • Leading and motivating your team to continually develop their knowledge, skills, behaviours and services.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers (who own the Product Roadmap and Backlog), to enable the Hera Service produce ambitious but achievable product roadmaps.

  • Lead planning, maintain Kanban/Agile activity boards and release plans.

  • Impact Assess changes from a Delivery perspective and attend the Design Authority as required.

  • Lead preparation for the Change & Release Board, attend and represent the Delivery of change.

  • Contribute to the identification and measurement of effectiveness, efficiency and economic benefits derived from changes.

  • Collaborate with the Run Partner, managing commercial and financial aspects of the service.

  • Develop personal and team capability and skills, with reference to DDaT Role Profiles, specialist skills standards and Civil Service behaviours.

  • Engage and participate in continual service improvement, service optimisation, customer satisfaction.

  • Work collegiately and collaboratively with colleagues (including contractors), stakeholders, partners and related organisations.



An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC learance and meet all essential criteria.
