- Job Title: Backend Developer
Location: Remote working
Daily rate: Inside IR35 circa £500 Umb
Contract length: 6 month +

Experience:
* Developing in multi-disciplinary software development teams in an agile environment.
* Commercial experience in hands-on software development using the following technical stack: Microsoft C#, JavaScript, .NET, .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and exposure to the Azure cloud platform (i.e. Azure AD, NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB, Azure Key Vault, etc ).
* Knowledge of web services/REST and microservices
* Developing in a CI/CD environment.
Skills:
* Strong GDS assessment experience
* Has a wide range of knowledge about software development industry design patterns, development and testing toolchain, agile ways of working and DevOps to be able to understand, constructively challenge and contribute to technical discussions.
* Understands the mechanisms and benefits of cloud platforms, microservices, containers (i.e. Docker containers) and Kubernetes services.
* Proficient in performing code reviews using git and providing feedback to developers to action as part of continuous improvement.
Desirable Experience:
* Worked in a Scrum multi-disciplinary environment.
* Experience in working in a large and complex public sector digital transformation programme.
* Knowledge and understanding of various relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server databases, Cosmos DB, etc ).
* Familiarity with several build and release collaboration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, TFS, Octopus Deploy, Puppet, Jenkins, etc ).
* Experience in using Azure DevOps during project delivery, for storing project assets, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
