- The Client:
A government department client is looking for an Offender Managers to join them on a 6 month contract. This position will be based in Newcastle / Leeds / Liverpool / Manchester / Cardiff / Glasgow / Croydon / Peterborough /Hybrid.
Job Summary:
- Candidates will have significant investigative experience or offender management experience such as ex probation/ ex police staff who have done similar roles.
- Recent and in-depth experience managing high-risk offenders, ideally within an asylum or criminal justice setting.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and offender management frameworks.
- Proven ability to work effectively within MAPPA and other multi-agency environments.
- Experience delivering tailored interventions and rehabilitation plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and complex cases.
- Ability to work independently, remotely, and under pressure.
- High level of integrity and commitment to public service values.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Knowledge of asylum processes and immigration legislation.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those with mental health needs.
- Familiarity with central government systems and operational procedures.
- Candidates must be willing to undertake the client's Personal safety training once they are in post – it’s a 2 day course.
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC clearance and meet all essential criteria.
