- The Client:
Our government department client is looking for a Category Manager to join them until 28/06/2024. This position will be hybrid, Bristol/London/Newcastle/York or Reading.
Job Summary:
- Motivate and manage a professional commercial team to deliver corporate outcomes and to ensure continuous improvement.
- Deliver strategic, high risk, high value contracts and frameworks as part of a multi-functional team.
- Work with CSD colleagues to deliver customer outcomes whilst recognising the importance of supply positioning and supplier referencing.
- Lead on the liaison with the CSD Star Chamber team and process to ensure seamless join up between Star Chamber and procurement.
- Provide expert advice on commercial risk management and deliver mitigation plans / strategies to manage identified risks at corporate level.
- Driving forward a cross department approach to agreements with key organisations and suppliers.
