- The Client:
A government client is looking for a Commercial Strategic Lead to join them on a 7 month contract. This position will be based in London/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
Provide strategic leadership across the YUCCA project, bringing together value chain mapping outputs, industry insights and policy proposals into coherent commercial strategies to strengthen Defence supply chain resilience. Drive and coordinate the development of commercial policies into coherent sector strategies, ensuring they complement wider Defence and national economic security objectives. Build and maintain senior relationships across industry to align efforts and secure feedback and support for policy proposals. Provide a strategic overview of programme delivery, helping translate complex analysis into clear decisions and actionable outcomes.
Essential Criteria
- Experience developing commercial strategies and policies from complex analytical evidence.
- Strong project management and strategic coordination skills across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including building relationships with senior industry and government partners.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of defence supply chains, critical minerals or global economic security issues.
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must
be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC clearance and meet all essential criteria.
