Job Title: DVSA Senior Commercial Category Manager
• CV Submission Deadline: Friday 11th May 2018 @ 11AM
• Daily Pay Rates: £375 UMB / £298.60 PAYE
• Hours:7.4 Weekly 37
• Location: East Midlands:The Axis Building, BirminghamRegular travel and overnight stays across the UK expected - 2/3 times a month, (main sites Bristol, Cookhill, London, Swansea and Newcastle) occasional client sites.

Regular travel and overnight stays across the UK expected - 2/3 times a month, (main sites Bristol, Cookhill, London, Swansea and Newcastle) occasional client sites.
Duties:
Provide current and relevant advice on the latest developments in public
sector procurement in relation to your category/s.
2. Prepare and deliver commercial guidance and advice for relevant
audiences in your category/s. Use sound presentation and communication
skills, working with the business and using strong and plain commercial
writing and persuasive skills.
3. Execute management responsibilities effectively.
4. Support a strong commercial direction and a persuasive future vision
based on the new DVSA Commercial Strategy.
5. Actively represent DVSA within the DfT Group Operating Model (GOM)
and vice-versa in respect of commercial matters in relation to your
category/s.
6. Utilise a MI regime, drive improvements in the quality of MI and its use
in informing commercial strategy decisions and introducing improvements
in your category/s
7. For requirements that are common goods and services delivered
through Crown Commercial Services, work with the DfT Category Lead in
influencing the CCS approach
