• Contract Length: 12 months
• Security Clearance Level Required: SC - Security Check
Experience Required
ESSENTIAL
1. Extensive experience of writing for the web, with proven ability to create content that is accessible and usable
● Proven experience in using metrics and user feedback to define and improve content
●Proven experience of managing relationships with stakeholders
●Experience in working with content publishing systems
● Have a natural aptitude for technology, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and troubleshoot them independently.
●Eager to identify, define and implement new user research methodologies.
●Possess experience/knowledge of a range of UX research methods and deliverables
●Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
DESIRABLE
1. Experience of using Markdown or basic HTML
Additional qualifications required for this role
1. Demonstrable experience of delivering successful outcomes in projects and programmes of similar sizes.
2. Experience working with Central Government Departments.
3. Experience in liaising with Oracle support and product development teams to resolve project gaps and issues.
4. Experience working with integrated and dis-aggregated service environment models.
5. Understanding of data protection act and rules for accessing secure data.
Key tasks and deliverables
Programme role:
1.You will be expected to scope, commission, write, edit and publish digital content in relation to the Metis programme and carry out actions which include:
• Making sure user journeys are the best they can be
• Managing relationships with subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate
• Producing content assets that are accurate, timely, high quality (based on insight and outputs of user testing, relevant to the audience, easily understood, optimised for search engines) and to style
• Choosing the best format for displaying information to the user - if we don’t have one, we’ll want you to suggest ideas or identify the gap
• Making sure appropriate policy and legal checks within other parts of government happen, and that content is published quickly and efficiently
• Monitoring the performance of content and tools
• Working with a multi-disciplinary team to understand user behaviour and feedback
• Identifying ways to improve the content and the product
• Providing constructive criticism to your colleagues to improve everyone’s skills and work.
• Work closely with the CX Service Cloud functional delivery team to ensure findings can be conveyed back effectively.
2. Manage and facilitate the approach to gathering relevant knowledge and guidance to support Metis Programme processes and carry out actions which include:
• Identifying key business stakeholders who understand the relevant business processes and policies aligned to them.
• Standing up a knowledge process team and facilitating regular sessions working closely with them to discuss content and structure of knowledge that will be built into the Metis Employee Interface.
• Creating a knowledge management process that supports both the business and any other service providers who will use the same knowledge, considering the technical capabilities of the CX Service Cloud Knowledge Management system that will be used to drive the knowledge.
3. Manage and facilitate the approach to amending Microsoft Excel macro enabled application forms to facilitate HR and FIN processes across the Metis programme.
