- The Client:
Our government department client is looking for a Commercial Manager to join them on a 3 month contract. This position will be remote.
Job Summary:
- In-depth specialist knowledge and experience of a wide range of commercial specialisms such as procurement, category management and supplier relationship management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public sector procurement including an expert knowledge and understanding of any current legislation and regulations relating to and UK or EU procurement policy and legislation.
- Excellent knowledge of leading procurement practice, commercial principles, processes and practices including robust and thorough third party spend management.
- Demonstrated experience of leading procurement programmes in highly complex and challenging environments.
- Experience of developing and implementing procurement policy and programmes to support the organisations procurement objectives and business plans.
- Experience of managing and coordinating complex commercial programmes of work, including managing a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience of procurement performance metrics, how they are collected and reported to senior managers.
- Knowledge of the structure and organisation of the health and social care commercial sector.
