•Contract Length: 3 months possibly up to 6 months
•Clearance Level Required: CTC
•Additional Info: Inside IR35 1 position required
Additional qualifications required for this role
1. Experience of public sector procurement and/or contract management including EU Directives
Key tasks and deliverables
1. To support the Policy & Grants Management CM in delivering an effective policy service for HOCD
2. Support the work on commercial improvements
3. Lead on contribution collating/drafting and approvals for policy contributions
4. Support as the contingency for FOI/PQ cover
5. Maintain a central repository for policy information.
Experience Required
ESSENTIAL
1. Contract management and/or procurement experience
2. Experience of writing briefings, reports etc for senior audiences up to PUS level
3. Experience of audit/assurance processes
4 IT skills (excel, word and powerpoint)
5. Communications skills (negotiating, effective drafting and listening)
DESIRABLE
1. MCIPS qualifications
2. Previous experience of FOI/PQ administration or drafting
3. Working across government departments or in large organisations
4. Previous policy experience
5. Knowledge of English contract law
Travel
Dependent on location of posting, travel to Croydon, 2MS and Sheffield offices may be required on an infrequent basis (once or twice a month). More frequent travel may be required to London/Croydon (within dual posting limits) if base location is Sheffield.
Occasional overnight stays may be required.
