Job Description
A temporary Programme Manager is required to deliver on a range of projects to maximise independence for
people with a learning disability in Wirral. Wirral Council and Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group are developing a pooled
budget for care and support services for people with learning disability or autism. The financial climate is challenging, and we
believe that we can make some real improvements for people at the same time as achieving efficiencies across the system.
Applicants will have experience of leading the delivery of successful outcomes on a range of large and complex projects in
health and care. Applicants must have senior management experience and be able to lead change across a number of
organisations. The role will have responsibility for developing and overseeing joint project plans, the delivery of various work
streams to produce the required outcomes within agreed timescales and for achieving the required efficiencies. Experience of
project management and managing learning disability services is an advantage. This is a 12 month post, responsible to the
Assistant Director of Health and Care Outcomes.
