Location: Inner London:100 Parliament Street

Experience Required
Have a sound knowledge of Government Commercial, Contract Management and Procurement policies and procedures, including EU Directives;
Have a demonstrable track record of delivering value for money across a range of Contracts and projects, including substantial experience in the category of professional services;
Have experience in applying assurance processes and providing assurance to contracts and other commercial matters;
Have practical experience of contract management, including supplier relationship development, performance management, negotiation, reporting and recommendation writing and, working in a corporate environment subject to public procurement law;
Have well developed inter-personal and communication skills plus a track record of leadership, setting strategic goals, and driving commercial and contract management activities;
Be able to demonstrate experience of operating in a senior environment and delivering results, notably securing vfm, including experience of assurance, management and business processes;
Be able to demonstrate evidence of your commitment to personal development;
Be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and/or hold a professional qualification – i.e. full membership by examination of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS);
Be aware of Programme and Project Management techniques and experience of delivering results using these methodologies;
Be able to operate with autonomy, working flexibly and innovatively with policy colleagues across all of our work areas;
Have experience of building professional, dynamic relationships across the Department and with stakeholders;
Take personal responsibility; challenging and holding stakeholders to account, creating an environment that acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement; helping us to develop innovative commercial solutions to meet Departmental objectives and increase efficiency.
Set high performance expectations, developing the capability of all those you activity manage, valuing difference to deliver results, inspiring people and creating a shared sense of purpose across the Department;
You will be expected to have, or to gain, a thorough understanding of how the Department and its people work, including how we are contributing to the economic growth agenda through our various sectors and use this knowledge to be actively involved in shaping the way the Department operates;
You will actively promote DCMS Values, understanding their importance in developing Departmental capability and link them to how you and your team operate.
