Essential:
• Proven track-record of commercial experience within complex environment;
• Strong business acumen;
• Excellent stakeholder management skills;
• Effective supplier management skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Excellent team working and collaboration skills;
• Awareness of public sector procurement legislation.
Desirable:
• A working knowledge of public sector procurement legislation including EU Rules and UK interpretations;
• Member of or studying towards qualified purchasing professional (MCIPS);
• Member of or studying towards IACCM.
• Experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies;
Key tasks and deliverables
The purpose of the role is to provide contract and contract transition management within Technology. This includes leading on procurement contract and sourcing management activity for HMCTS Technology Directorate. This means: working with the category teams in defining all contract management change activity and sourcing in scope; engaging with suppliers and supporting stakeholder relationships; assisting the administration of contracts; and resolving all escalated contractual disputes and issues.
This is a crucial role in sustaining continuity of service by supporting the delivery of supplies and services into HMCTS front-line and CPS operations. Without this additional resource the progress of the programme will be seriously impacted and benefits delayed.

Our procurement strategy has transformed the way we manage procurement within the MoJ; contributing valuable savings better outcomes for the business and supporting to Central Government procurement initiatives being led by the Cabinet Office.
The job purpose is to manage Commercial & Contract Management (Procurement) within the HMCTS Technology Directorate, focusing specifically on two major programmes of work. This means: designing the Commercial and Contracts Management strategies; tendering, negotiating & awarding the contracts and contract changes; managing the supplier and stakeholder relationships; managing contract transitions; and resolving the key issues.
