Description:
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Lead on the implementation and further development of management systems for quality control and assurance; Improve operational quality by collaborating across the organisation; Identify opportunities to minimise customer problems; Review and implement effective change controls across the business, ensuring compliance with necessary regulations and operational standards; Ensure compliance with internal and government policies; Drive a culture of quality awareness and management at all levels; Report on audits and non-compliance issues.
Responsible for ensuring that the DEO programme the end-to-end quality assurance process operated effectively and efficiently, including document control and associated data and documentation management approaches across the DEO Programme.
•Lead the governance of the quality assurance framework, including mechanisms to ensure artefacts are produced in a timely manner.
•Report to the Knowledge, Data & Reporting Manager for all activity.
•Provide progress updates to various internal and external stakeholders as required.
•Track and proactively monitor artefacts through the quality assurance process and make the tracker readily available to stakeholders.
•Manage communication and engagement with the quality assurance approach and framework, ensuring compliance through education, guidance, advice and coaching.
•Support the Knowledge, Data & Reporting team in quality assuring all deliverables required by the relevant governing body, including but not limited to, changes to: formatting, spelling, grammar, syntax, presentation, printing preparation and version control.
•Provide education, guidance, advice and coaching on programme management best practice to sub-programme colleagues.
Key Deliverables
•Standard quality assurance pack which articulates the who, what, where, when, why and how of quality assurance.
•Communications and engagement plan to support behavioural and cultural implementation of best practice across the DEO Programme.
•Quality assurance handbook which may comprise, inter alia, a policy, strategy, approach/principles, guidelines/guidance and templates. Desirable Experience / Qualifications
•Demonstrable experience of Quality Assurance / Quality control in a large programme environment •Any of Managing Successful Programmes, Prince2 or APM
• Advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
