- The Client:
Our government department client is looking for a Procurement Officer to join them on an initial 5 month contract. This position will be hybrid on London/Manchester.
Job Summary:
- Compliant delivery of procurements in line with EU Regulations, best practise and procurement legislation; including Crown Commercial Service framework call offs
- Sound procurement advice to Policy leads on routes to market and contract management matters, defining solutions to deliver value for money
- Leading and/or supporting a range of projects throughout all stages of the procurement life cycle
- Working collaboratively with the Crown Commercial Service
- • Ensuring the department fully complies with EU procurement regulations and delivers high value/complex procurements in line with best practise processes and current procurement legislation.
- Championing the role of procurement within MHCLG and developing effective relationships with key departmental stakeholders to ensure early engagement in departmental initiatives with a procurement or wider commercial angle.
- Providing sound commercial advice to a range of stakeholders, including development of business cases.
- Designing and implementing appropriate sourcing strategies and commercial models that deliver value for money solutions and, where relevant, incorporate key Procurement policies (e.g. Small and Medium Enterprises; Social Value).
- Providing task management and leadership to procurement professionals.
- Ensuring that Contract Award Notices are carried out in accordance with current legislation.
- Capturing procurement savings
- Keeping the procurement pipeline up to date.
