TheWarhead Directorate leads the UK nuclear warhead programme which provides a stockpile of reliable, safe and effective nuclear warheads to support the UK’s strategic nuclear deterrent now and in the future.
The Warhead Programme provides an extensive investment in our research and production facilities, science and engineering skills and safety and security infrastructure over the period 2005-2025.
Project Mensa is a unique and complex project for the replacement warhead assembly facility at AWE Burghfield. A Schedule Analyst is required with experience as a major project planner of complex projects, including use of project scheduling software, preferably P6. Experience of confidence modelling is also required.
The post holder will review Mensa performance on a monthly basis and assess the schedule delivery looking forward to identify any risks, issues and opportunities with associated recommendations for action. Development of an integrated schedule for MOD delivery to the Mensa programme is a key initial task. The postholder will provide confirmation of the critical path and float in the schedule.
The schedule analyst will work in an integrated way with the other members of the Mensa team. The postholder may be asked to support other Capital projects in the programme as required.
Key Tasks and Deliverables
Monthly assessment of:
1. Critical path and schedule performance
2. Confidence modelling output
3. Schedule risks, issues and opportunities.
