- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Procurement Manager to join them on a 6 month contract. This position will be in London.
Job Summary:
Drive and lead a team, delivering at pace with quality outcomes that meet the needs of the organisation and enable the smooth running of the day-to-day business. Lead on the generation of content to meet business plan deliverables. Manage the budget and financial processes and help to balance the resources of the teams, making sure to stay abreast of changes that affect them, contributing to the refinement and improvement of processes.
- Develop and manage the Procurement Plan, develop Procurement strategy, write Outline Business Case (OBC), obtain governance approvals on OBC (including Cabinet Office and HMT), manage communications and stakeholder engagement across the organisation.
- Engage with broad range or users and stakeholders across organisation to develop user-requirements and specifications.
- Engage with markets and develop the ITT specification requirements.
- Project Manage timelines and key milestones across project activities and stakeholders.
- Must Have: experience with managing Business Cases and delivering end-to-end complex high-value procurements within UK Government under Public Sector regulations.
- Desirable: knowledge/experience of Travel industry.
