Description:
Subject matter expert in Information Governance. Additionally they will represent the department with customer groups, national bodies and expert groups influencing strategic direction of those groups and for mutual benefit. A major part of the role is the management of the Information Governance agenda across the entire department and its customer base delivering a comprehensive work programme and service.
· Key tasks and deliverables
· Design scheduling tools and standards
· Design a fast track service
· Arrange schedule training in accordance with training calendar
· Conduct training to be carried out in Q1 and Q2 18/19
• Provide expert guidance in creating and building schedules using standard WBS and schedule management tools (e.g. Primavera (P6))
• Support the embedding of P3O scheduling and planning services across PPD and PSP delivery teams
• Resource scheduling support to priority programmes and projects to inform Main Gate activities as required by senior management
• Design PPD scheduling tools and standards, working with PSP schedulers in their application
• Support resource management practices through loading resource profiles to schedules to help inform capacity and capability challenges across PPD
• Provide a fast-track programme / project mobilisation support service through collaborative working, facilitated workshops and tailoring of standard approaches and templates
• Expert advice to PPD leadership in schedule management
• Support to Head of Delivery, portfolio managers and resourcing manager in providing schedule driven outputs by Portfolio
• Provide expert guidance in creating and delivering portfolio level schedules representing programmes and projects contained within the Capital Investment Plan (CIP)
• Provide expert guidance in creating standard outputs from Primavera (P6) to support reporting matrix and governance boards
• Responsible for standard outputs from Primavera (P6) to support reporting matrix and governance boards
• Instruct the team creating baselines for the portfolios in P6 to inform main gate activities held within IMS system
• Develop standards, templates and, where required, additional policy on P3M schedule management for PPD, PSPs and Industry Partners and provides assurance to these standards
• Provide technical assurance capability in support of reviewing PSP programmes and offering advice around schedule management
• Embed the P3O scheduling services within PPD and Delivery teams
