Location: Glasgow (ideally looking for someone that can commute to and from Glasgow on a daily basis)
IR35: in scope
Pay Rate to Candidate: £386/day MAX
Minimum Requirement:

1) Construction experience is essential – experience in construction tendering
2) NEC3 contract experience (NEC4 as well would be ideal)
3) Public sector background
4) Experienced commercial background – minimum of 2+yrs experience
MCIPS would be ideal
Security Clearance: SC cleared

Commercial Officer
We are seeking an Commercial Officer for our client based in Glasgow. We have an excellent opportunity for an interim Commercial Manager with experience in delivering construction and infrastructure public sector procurements.
The ideal candidate will have conducted sourcing and tendering for new build and refurbishment construction projects and have a sound understanding in NEC 3 & 4 contracts Be familiar with OJEU and
public sector procurement regulations and governance.
Please note, the successful candidate must Be currently SC cleared or be eligible to undergo SC
clearance at offer stage if not already held .
• Understanding, advice and application of EU, UK and department
procurement legislation, and experience of construction / capital works
procurement
• Knowledge of NEC 3 & 4 contracts
• Excellent public sector procurement knowledge including OJEU legislation
• Operate from Glasgow base location with flexibility to travel to
stakeholder and project meetings as required
• Able to take ownership for projects by writing the commercial and
procurement strategies and advising stakeholders and project teams on
best route to market
• Experience of working with public sector frameworks such as
• Preferable to hold MCIPS (Membership of Chartered Institute of
Procurement and Supply Preferred.)
