- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Project Manager to join them on a 12 month contract. This position will be based in Corsham (4 days/ week)/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
- Experience of OBC, FBC.
- Some experience writing review notes would be beneficial.
- RAID and risk management experience.
- All round Project Manager experience, ideally 5+ years, with the robustness to manage complex delivery.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management, with experience engaging a large and varied stakeholder audience.
Core Day to Day Duties: Role Purpose
The Project Manager leads and manages projects day to day, ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints. The role focuses on strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and benefits realisation, ensuring projects deliver tangible value aligned to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project delivery from initiation through to completion.
- Oversee day-to-day project planning, controls, and governance.
- Coordinate development of the Business Case.
- Manage budgets, resources, risks, and issues.
- Track, report, and assure project performance against milestones.
- Identify, measure, and manage benefits realisation.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies.
- Ensure effective change control and decision-making processes.
- Promote continuous improvement and personal development.
Candidate Profile Suitable for candidates with experience:
- Working within medium or large projects.
- Leading a workstream or specialist area within a small, low complexity project.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of project management practices, tools, and techniques.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, risk and issue management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and provide high-quality management information.
- Strong organisation, prioritisation, and decision-making capability.
- Professional credibility to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Entry-level Project Delivery qualification, e.g.
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification, or.
- Foundation-level qualification (e.g. MSP Foundation).
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification, or.
- Equivalent qualifications considered.
- Qualifications must be in date and evidenced at interview.

An active DV clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance.
