Role Description:
Your focus will be on primarily one delivery unit, working to:
- Support the development and interpretation of operational metrics and reporting dashboards in order to communicate performance clearly for your area, and how this impacts end to end performance
- Undertake ad hoc analysis of datasets to identify trends and themes to support deeper analysis
- Ensure consistency of reporting across the organisation, ensuring alignment of measures with delivery units’ internal reporting and externally reported statistics
- Respond quickly to change to maintain clear visibility of performance in a rapidly evolving organisation
- Participate in the change management process, to ensure that due consideration is given to impacts across the end to end operation
- Identify, collate and recognise operational inefficiencies, risks and issues across the end to end process and feed these insights into the appropriate delivery unit to be taken forward
We are looking for a Performance Analyst to work within the Performance and Insights team within Service Operations Centre, and COO function. The Performance & Insights team own the requirement and reporting products to illustrate operational performance at an organisational level, against a set of agreed corporate KPIs.
Working in to a Performance Manager, you will be focused on increasing visibility of operational performance within one of the main delivery units as part of the end to end picture. It's a key role within the new UK wide Service Operations Centre supporting the Nation’s response

The role requires a self-starter that can hit the ground running, is decisive, and an excellent problem solver who can think on their feet bringing together the right people to navigate a path to a solution. You will need to build a clear picture of operational processes and systems not only within your delivery unit, but also how this integrates into the wider end to end service. Working under the direction of a Performance Manager, you will support the development of operational KPIs and scoping of insights to guide service improvements to the operation.
You'll build up expert knowledge of the delivery unit’s operations and stakeholders in order to develop clear reporting dashboards and increase understanding and visibility of operational performance.
(a) understanding the key drivers for operational performance within your delivery unit, supporting the development of metrics and dashboard reporting
(b) maintaining visibility of change across the service, and supporting the awareness of what changes mean across the broader Service Operations Centre team
(c) applying your operational awareness and understanding to support the development of hypotheses to test as part of the insights generation process
(d) working with the broader Service Operations Centre team to understand the impact of incidents and operational issues on performance
Candidates would ideally have experience in one or more of the following fields; statistics or operational research, operations management, operations development, process improvement, continuous improvement, financial / management accounting. You’ll have strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and present key findings to senior stakeholders
