- The Client:
A government client is looking for a Commercial Manager to join them on a 12 month contract. This position will be based in Porton Down.
Job Summary:

- Recent Experience of NEC 3/4 contracting
- Experience with Public Contract Regulations
Essential:
- Sole UK National
- Experience with Public Contract Regulations, Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations.
- Worked in a commercial environment involving infrastructure works and soft and hard facilities management.
- Experience of NEC contracting, specifically Engineering Construction Contracts (ECC) and Professional Service Contracts (PSC), including an awareness of NEC 3 or 4 contracting. NEC 4 is preferred.
- Managing communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders will be required.
- Ability to communicate priorities and business plans to internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring that all programmes and projects deliver to time, cost and quality.Public sector experience is preferred
- Background in one or more of the following:

Desirable:
- Defence experience
- MCIPS or equivalent
- Public sector procurement experience, PA2023, very useful
An active SC clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active SC clearance and meet all essential criteria.
