JOB SUMMARY AND WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT
Develops and leads collaborative procurement strategy that:
Aligns with and delivers to national, regional and local procurement strategy within the NHS.
Influences partners and stakeholders to embed cultural and systems change which support the implementation of the CPC procurement strategy.
Ensures all resources are primarily focused on delivering cash releasing savings, efficient procurement, process improvements, service re-design and supplier rationalisation – as required to drive quality and value in the NHS.
Enables the CPC to deliver innovative procurement solutions, achieving significant and sustainable improvements for the health economy both in terms of patient care and cash releasing savings.
As a member of the CPC’s Senior Management Team:
Sets the CPC’s overall direction and strategy.
Ensures implementation of that strategy, including delivery of operational and financial plans.
Plays an influential and active role in marketing and selling the capability of the CPC.
Builds effective relationships with new and existing stakeholders and partners to ensure delivery of the CPC’s financial and operational plans.
Role models the LYPFT/CPC culture and values.
Leads a team providing strategic procurement support to influence the circa £1.8bn commercial expenditure across the multiple NHS stakeholder organisations.
Acts as deputy to the Managing Director across the whole range of duties within the scope of the CPC.
