•The Maximum Pay Rate: £540 LTD
•Location: Outer London: 50-50 split between Bernard Weatherill Hous, Croydon and Hendon Data Centre
•Contract Length: Initially until 31st March 2019 with possible extension later
•Clearance Level Required: SC
•Travel - 50% to Hendon Data Centre
•Additional Info: Outside IR35 2 positions required
Experience Required
ESSENTIAL
• Experience of full project lifecycle experience (from requirements gathering / discovery through to implementation)
• Experience of a range of structured programme and project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
• Strong ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, leading the collaborative planning process, prioritising work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
• Ability to engage and work with development teams, to understand the technical solution and make informed decisions
• Strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong understanding of the government's digital and technology transformation agenda
DESIRABLE
• Previous experience of working with security partners
• Previous experience of working on and knowledge of technology infrastructure (including but not limited to; AWS; Azure and Citrix
• Significant experience of delivering Data Migration projects
• Experience of planning and manage technical Proofs of Concept, Technical Trials and Dress Rehearsals (for system implementations and/or data migrations)
• Financial forecasting, tracking and reporting skills
• Experience of managing in-house delivery through a mix of sources and types of resources
• Experience of managing delivery through external suppliers
Key tasks and deliverables
The successful individuals will be expected to work flexibly and be responsive to demands from our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
• Manage projects and workstreams from end-to-end, from requirements gathering / Discovery, through to implementation and early life support.
• Implement and manage effective and appropriate project governance.
• Own the production of key project management products, ensuring they meet the required quality standards and are approved by the relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and manage dependencies and interdependencies.
• Define and manage project and workstream budgets and resourcing plans within project and programme levels and tolerances.
• Work closely with the business in producing high quality business requirements and translating requirements into deliverable plans.
• Lead the development of the commercial approach and plan, and supplier engagement for the project or workstream in line with the overarching strategies, liaising with the programme commercial team and, if required, leading the procurement process.
• Ensuring that the project or workstream focuses on realisation of business benefits by creating business readiness plans, taking into consideration technology deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new processes or jobs into the ‘business as usual’ environment.
• Leading stakeholder engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
• Leading the development of other team members, which may include direct line management.
• Experience of supporting software that is in live use (either long-term, or early life support) • Experience of managing a diverse portfolio of smaller projects • Experience of setting up a new service, including the design and implementation of new business processes, and of operating that service
