Description:
As Supply Support you are responsible through CEST Head Inv to the CEST TL for providing support to the supply output for the equipment in your area and in line with customer requirements as stated within IBA/JBA documents. To comply with JSP 886/482/422 and Local Business Procedures ensuring the maintenance of output delivery is afforded the highest priority to ensure operational capability is met.
a) Ensure accurate data maintenance on all relevant supply systems to ensure all accounts remain robust and meet audit requirements for stock accountancy.
b) Conduct stock level analysis of all relevant supply systems to support the provisioning of equipment to agreed customer levels.
c) Monitor and progress demands for all post related equipment.
d) Monitor and progress contract deliveries ensuring delivery data is accurately maintained on supply systems in support of contract performance measurement.
e) Provide data in support of logistic reviews, transformation activities, management checks and competitive tendering activities.
f) Monitor and expedite the return to serviceable of unserviceable components, held both at depot and unit.
g) Provide support to the local approval of disposals before transfer to the central disposal activity.
h) Monitor financial commitment on contracts to ensure best use of resources and contribute to monthly FOO and annual PR as required.
Key tasks and deliverables
We are looking for an IT literate individual who is organised, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision across the maritime domain. These roles provide support to the PSSE area of the Integrated Logistic Fleet DSS team by providing technical support to the PSSE manager and wider stakeholders. The post holders will react to information requests by working with the PSSE manager to identify appropriate responsibilities and ensure correct data is maintained and appropriate paperwork is stored. Specific duties will include;
• Maintenance and development of the data within the WILSON database. (PSSE material accounting data)
• PSSE Improvement plan – working with the PSSE manager to improve ownership and management of the PSSE equipment portfolio.
• Provide PSSE technical support to project team equipment project managers.
Experience Required
ESSENTIAL:
• Understanding of DE&S structure and ways of working
• Knowledge of maritime defence systems and support
• Good communication skills.
DESIRABLE:
• Working knowledge of RN submarine systems and support
• Previous experience of working with MS Access®
