Key tasks and deliverables
The individual will lead specific workstreams and conduct project coordination, delivering against one or more of the workstreams within the Driving and Movements (White Fleet Optimisation) project, working to a C1 Project Manager.
This project represents a significant Efficiency Savings initiative within D Support’s portfolio. It addresses demand and supply optimisation, efficiency of delivery, introduction of an Electric Vehicle capability and seeks to improve the effectiveness of White Fleet service to the Army’s user community.
Workstrands currently include: pilot and deliver an Electric Vehicle capability; optimise provision of coach services; optimise provision of passenger vehicle services; scrutinise and optimise manpower levels to achieve stated demand.
The individual must have a P3M (project level) delivery background and preferably a good knowledge of fleet management with confidence to communicate effectively with stakeholders and to generate consensus and momentum.
The role requires the incumbent to work with initiative to drive workstrands forward to completion, problem-solving and delivering against agreed cost/time/quality targets.
The individual needs planning skills, attention to detail, communications skills and analytical skills with a proven ability to deliver.
Responsibilities include:
Own and manage specific workstrands on behalf of the project manager, provide detailed analysis and delivery activity.
Construct detailed schedules and deliver against them to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included. Provide effective and routine reports upwards and downwards.
Work with key stakeholders to deliver all aspects of the project to time, cost and quality.
Identify Change Management requirements. Plan, manage and monitor the implementation of changes, including impact assessment, resource analysis, conflict resolution and contingency planning.
Risk management.
Experience Required
Good understanding of project support is essential. MSP, APMP or PRINCE2 practitioner is the minimum level of training expected. Familiarity with microsoft project and MOR desirable.
