- Description
- The Contractor shall work with the Authority, acting as the Falcon Logistic Support Service (LSS) lead and shall provide appropriate support to the Falcon Sustain project. The Contractor shall at the direction of the Falcon Senior Project Manager contribute and co-ordinate with the BATCIS ILS and LSC Team.
This shall include the following:
Acting as the day-to-day point of contact within Falcon for LSS advice and guidance working in conjunction with the BATCIS ILS Team.
Supporting the Falcon Senior Project Manager and any other team members by providing direction and guidance on LSS / ILS / RELIABILITY & MAINTAINABILITY (R & M) matters examples may include Defence Logistic Framework, R & M, Spares modelling, spares holding.
Supporting engagements between the Authority and Industry;
Supporting Industry Days, i.e. Bidder Conferences;
Responding to any Requests for Information to inform the procurement process and requirements set.
Producing a LSS Statement of requirement to support the Falcon Sustain Invitation to Tender Notice (ITN)
Producing responses to any clarification questions (CQ’s)
Supporting bid evaluation
Supporting contract negotiations
Providing input to the review note
The Contractor shall be functionally managed by the BATCIS BPSS ILS lead & shall update & input to the following functional outputs:
Supportability MDAL
ILS Action Tracker
Risk Registers
Input into the ILS Programme Schedule
ILS Meetings/Reviews (Slide packs) & additional reporting
The Contractor shall provide a weekly report to the BATCIS BPSS ILS Lead to support monthly reporting on the following:
Meetings attended
Outputs achieved
Added value
In order for the Contractor to deliver the aforementioned support and outputs, the Authority believes the following skills and experience are required:
Knowledge and experience of military communications;
Knowledge and experience of working in multi-discipline teams to deliver successful projects;
Good communication and inter-personal skills to enable them to lead on Logistic support issues through consensus;
Knowledge and experience of the Def Stan 00-600, 00-40 00-42 and the DLF;
Able to undertake R&M modelling and LORA activities;
Knowledge and experience of CLS contracts;
Knowledge and experience of stakeholder management of Senior Crown Servants; and
Knowledge and experience of briefing solutions in a simple and understandable manner
