- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Unit 4 Build Consultant to join them on a 4 month contract. This position will be remote.
Job Summary:
Surrey County Council implemented Unit 4 as it’s ERP in 2023, and a significant programme of work is underway to develop and realise the full implementation. The Local Government landscape is ever changing, and we are looking to separate a key component into a new, customised, separate client. We require an experienced Build Consultant to complete this project and have begun the review and design process in order to carefully consider the full scope of change. The Build Consultant will work with our project team and stakeholders throughout design and implementation. The responsibilities will include:
- Participating in system design workshops and translating business requirements into detailed build documentation.
- Configuring a Unit4 ERP solution in line with approved design specifications and best practices.
- Providing expert consultancy on Unit 4 ERP configuration.
- Supporting data migration, integration, IST and UAT testing, and post-Go-Live troubleshooting.
- Collaborating with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to ensure optimal solution design.
- Writing test scripts and assisting UAT activities.
- Ensuring quality assurance and audit traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create detailed build documentation and participate in knowledge transfer sessions with internal IT support team.
- Ensure all documentation is provide and saved to the correct project area for future reference.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience leading and configuring a new client build in Unit 4 ERP.
- Strong understanding of ERP architecture, modules and configuration tools.
- Confidence translating the business requirements into build specifications.
- Experience in set up chart of accounts, workflows, roles and permissions in Unit 4 ERP.
- Strong understanding of ERP data structures and module interdependencies.
- Experience in Unit 4 Import and export rules and APIs.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience in finance and procurement-centred projects.
- Knowledge of data migration and integration with Altair.
- Experience configuring modules across Finance, Procurement, Projects, Planner, and ideally HR.
- Experience managing end-to-end data migration processes within Unit4 ERP.
- Ability to perform data mapping, cleansing, and transformation.
- Experience supporting testing phases and resolving data-related issues.
