The Client:

A government department client is looking for a Demobilisation Manager to join them on a 6 month contract. This position will be based Nationally with travel between England and Wales.

Job Summary:

  • This role is to support the Property Transformation Programme with four Demobilisation Managers (SEO) to plan and deliver complex Facilities Management (FM) contract exits across their diverse and high-value Prison and Probation estate.

  • The role sits within the Demobilisation Team and is responsible for managing the transition from outgoing to incoming Total FM/Workplace Services providers, ensuring service continuity, statutory compliance, and minimal operational disruption—particularly within secure and regulated environments.

  • The postholder will oversee Hard and Soft FM contract demobilisation in line with programme timelines, interpret and apply New Engineering Contract - NEC3/NEC4 contractual requirements, manage supplier performance at end-of-term, and ensure auditable closure activities such as asset registers, maintenance tasks, statutory compliance, project delivery and data handover are completed effectively with operational teams. They will act as the key interface with incumbent suppliers and FM operations, manage risk and escalation, and provide structured reporting to senior programme stakeholders.

  • The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in FM operational delivery and contract management within complex, multi-site public sector estates, alongside strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and supplier relationship management skills.
