- The Client:
A government client is looking for a Project Manager to join them on an 18 month contract. This position will be based in Reading & Aldermaston/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
To deliver assigned projects to time, cost and quality, compliant with client processes. The role of the Project Manager may also include the applications of their skill sets within nuclear programmes and projects in supporting the delivery of the client mission. Project Managers will be expected to work in roles which require an awareness and compliance to the nuclear license condition
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver assigned projects in accordance with requirements, operational constraints, time, cost and quality.
- Lead, coach and develop a team at a local level to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely to meet our operational plans.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects with focus on Governance (compliance and reporting).
- Management of project resources (people, money).
- Lead the planning of the task/project.
- Manage work as defined in the Work Authorisation Document (WAD).
- Lead, support and initiate change against the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
- Lead, initiate and perform risk and opportunity identification and subsequent actions.
- Needs to have NEC Contract Management experience
- Awareness of the construction phase (CSC card holder)
- Needs to have a background in the security industry, hostile vehicle etc.
- Will involve heavily with engaging with supply chain
- Can drive schedule cost, manage complexity, risk ,security mindset.
- Needs to have worked for a complex organisation
- Expectation is they will pick things up quickly and run with project
- Technology background either electrical, rail, signalling or Underground experience.
An active DV clearance is required for this role. At a minimum, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance. Due to the short-term nature of the contract and the urgency of the requirement, the client may prioritise applicants who already hold active DV clearance and meet all essential criteria.
