- The Client:
Our government department client is looking for an Analyst to join them on a 9 month contract. This position will be hybrid, Titchfield, Newport or Darlington.
Job Summary:
- Collating varied evidence from across business accounts, legislative proposals, company law, and application of policy in niche areas of government, to compare against national accounting principles.
- Create clear and concise case papers which communicate to stakeholders the basis of the classification decision and can be used as precedent to future cases.
- Assess the completeness of available information, identifying and filling gaps to ensure thorough casework is completed.
- Maintain a high-quality monthly publication, implementing checks to ensure all qualitative data and associated information are correct and clearly explained to users.
- Engage with stakeholders inside and out of the organisation to respond to classification queries or otherwise help others to understand classifications work.
- Collaborate with other classifications experts to understand complex principles and refine into digestible concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to produce clear, structured, detailed analysis in the form of written classification casework, letters to stakeholders and/or verbal presentations.
- Strong research skills to source and analyse information on organisations, schemes and transactions in order to assess this information against the relevant guidance in international statistical manuals.
- Ability to deal confidently with senior officials from across government and respond to queries from external organisations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the wider team and develop strong working relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
