- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Commercial Officer to join them on a 3 month contract. This position will be hybrid, London/ Bristol.
Job Summary:
- Reasonable PUBLIC sector procurement experience
- Experience working within a secure environment
- Used CCS frameworks
- LARGE ERP/Transformation programme
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience of supporting end-to-end sourcing in a large-scale complex or high-risk programme. (Value: Category B would be preferable but generally around Cat C’s/D’s)
- Agile, self-aware and able to perform on their own
- MORE procurement rather than Contract Management
- Oracle ERP Basis
- Some IT experience or working knowledge, understanding/ appreciation
- If they have some IT technical background that would be great
- Someone with a flexible approach, capable of managing uncertainty, adapting to changing priorities.
- A good influencer with excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentational), ability to adapt communication style and language to fit the needs of the audience.
- Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of supporting delivery on a large scale or within high-risk projects and programmes and stakeholder management in a complex environment.
- Someone who can constructively challenge information.
- Experience of building positive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups; able to understand and manage multiple perspectives, build consensus and influence stakeholders.
- Experience of public sector procurement – and knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023.
- Experience of CCS Frameworks.
- Experience of supporting end-to-end sourcing in a large-scale complex or high-risk programme.
- Experience of supporting the development and delivery of complex Invitations to Tender, negotiations and contract that may require non-standard/bespoke conditions.
- Highly proficient MS Word and Excel skills.
- MCIPS or working towards – desirable.
- CIPS or working towards – essential
